The
DELF (Diplome d'Études en
Langue Française) and the
DALF (Diplome Approfondi de
Langue Française) are offered in
900 exam centers throughout 154
countries. About 350 000 units
are taken every year and 60 000
people are awarded a
certificate. Since 2005, the
DELF and the DALF certificates
are harmonized with the
Common European Framework of
Reference for Languages from the
Council of Europe.

ambitions and briefly give
reasons and explanations for
opinions and plans.

with ease virtually everything
heard or read. Can summarise

spoken and written sources,
reconstructing arguments and

meaning even in more complex
situations.
