Let's French... Festival of
French Music
Let's French... the
French music festival is
organised since 2006 by the
Alliance Française in Dublin
to promote French culture
through the repertoire of its
rich music: traditional
chansons, pop,
rock, folk, indie,
rap, electro,
house, techno, dj
set or jazz.
The
Festival welcomes French,
French-speaking and Irish
artists, for a week of concerts
in various venues in Dublin. It
takes place every year in June
to include the Fête de la
Musique (French
National Day for Music).
Past
editions introduced to Irish
audiences French sensations
like, among others, TTC,
Sébastien Tellier,
Naive New Beaters, Birdy
Nam Nam, DSL,
Sourya, Housse de Racket,
Les Plastiscines, Ba
Cissoko, Marie Cherrier,
Jeanne Cherhal, or
Cali.
Since 2009 the Festival
organises along with the gigs
other events related to French
Music: workshops, open mics,
screenings.
