French Classes for toddlers

This French language immersion programme for toddlers, which started in February 2009, aims to deepen the parent-child bond through French.
Learning a second language "boosts" brainpower, scientists believe. "People who learn a second language at a younger age are more likely to have more advanced grey matter than those who learn later" say researchers from University College London.
At the Alliance Française, we strongly believe this and now offer an innovative programme one toddler-one adult to enrich your child’s intellectual development and ability to be open-minded to other languages and cultures.

Class format. Class duration is 75 minutes. Classes are divided into 4 different age groups. Each group is limited to 8 children.
- A Petits Pas 1  Aged 12-24 months
- A Petits Pas 2  Aged 2-3 years
- A Petits Pas 3  Aged 3-4 years
- A Petits Pas 4  Aged 4-5 years

Policies.
Parent participation and responsibility:
One parent or caregiver must attend class with their child(ren) - exception made for the Bilingual section. Accompaniment is limited to one parent or caregiver only - no other adults or children may attend. Each parent or caregiver is responsible for the well-being of their child and is strongly encouraged to participate in all the class activities.
Code of conduct: If a child becomes disruptive, we ask that the parent or caregiver take him/her out of the class until he/she calms down in order to preserve a constructive learning environment.
Health:  Please do not bring children to class when ill.

Discount. Please note that you are entitled to a 10% discount when a child registers for two or more classes in the same term or if two or more siblings register within the same term.
