Understanding different business cultures can help to develop business connections, increase business productivity and help employees to absorb company’s values, mission and goals to be more engaged. Our event Business Rendez-Vous is a series of talks about business culture focuses on well-known brands, French companies, entrepreneurs and the administrative and political sector.
This event is aimed not only at professional but also general audiences.
The format is an interview, of 45 minutes followed by 15 minutes for Q&A.
Afterwards the event continues with a “networking” small reception.
For the 3rd edition dedicated to Sports Economics, we welcome Thomas Byrne (Minister of State at Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport & Media) and Elena Pecos (Chief Executive of Decathlon Ireland)interviewed in English by Sean Keyes (Finance Editor at The Currency).
The first one – About Luxury – took place last June with Mr Sebastien Roche, General Manager at Bulgari Ireland (LVMH Group) as guest of honour. The main topic discussed was the global luxury market, brand values, HR, & management… The interview was led by Rosana Cooney, Business Correspondent of The Currency.
The second edition – French for Business: Speak French to understand France – was last October and we had the pleasure of welcoming Clementine Curtin, member of the Cabinet of the President of the Eurogroup at Ireland’s Department of Finance, and Laura Dagg, former First Secretary (Head Economic and Trade section) at the Irish Embassy in Paris. The event was led by Thomas Hubert, Deputy Editor of The Currency. The discussion focused on the role of the French language in business and intercultural skills.
